Milk Donation Made Easy

Mums who can donate

Lactating mothers in good health who have enough milk after feeding her own baby.

Mothers whose own babies are in good health and thriving

Mothers who have at least 6L+ frozen storage space

Mothers who are generally healthy and do not take certain medication on a regular basis

Mothers who do not smoke, and do not drink excessively

Mums who cannot donate

  • Mothers who currently smoke, or use nicotine replacement therapy (NRT)

  • Mothers who regularly exceed recommended alcohol levels during breastfeeding (1 to 2 units, once or twice a week)

  • Mothers using, or have recently used, recreational drugs

  • Mothers who have or has a sexual partner suffering from HBV, HIV, HCV & venereal diseases.

  • Mothers who have a family history or increased risk for Creutzfeld-Jakob disease (mad cow disease)

  • Mothers who have previously tested positive for HIV 1 or 2, Hepatitis B or C, human t-lymphotropic virus (HTLV) type 1 or 2, or Syphilis
  • Mothers who currently have mastitis/fungal infection of the nipple or areola
  • Mothers with herpes simplex / varicella zoster infections in mammary / thoracic region.
